Çağatay UAV is a fully autonomous, mobile UAV system that combines the wind resistance of fixed wing UAV systems, the ability to glide, stay in the air for a long time, and the vertical take-off and landing capability of rotary wing or multi-rotor UAV systems without the need for any runway.
"ÇAĞATAY has a wingspan of 4.65m. It is designed and manufactured by the Uavera engineers. The frame is produced from composite material by molded manufacturing. A 100cc engine is used in the product, which has a disposable load carrying capacity of 5 kg. Its average fuel consumption is 1 liter/hour. Thus, it can work for 6 hours.
ÇAĞATAY uses an electric motor for vertical take-off and landing. Because of this, it does not require a runway or catapult/launcher."
ÇAĞATAY takes off from a tripod and can land on an area of 5×5 m. Thanks to this feature, Çağatay VTOL is ideal for missions where YKI needs to be mobile and where landing and take-off areas are limited or dangerous. Work continues to improve the CGT50's landing/take-off to the ship and long-term floating capabilities.
